Introduction
An American company specializing in locomotive service, signaling, and logistics systems for the global rail industry partnered with Vestian to develop a new facility following a significant acquisition. The project aimed to integrate 1,650 new employees while upholding the company's commitment to sustainability, environmental protection, and safety. Vestian was tasked with creating a 170,000 sq. ft. workspace in a LEED platinum green building, pre-certified by the US Green Building Council.
Challenge
Our team faced strict construction and labor movement guidelines imposed by the developer, which threatened to impede project progress. Additionally, we needed to seamlessly blend the work cultures of two companies while maintaining the real estate standards of both organizations.
Solution
Vestian approached this complex integration project with strategic planning and specialized expertise. We assigned a dedicated safety manager to ensure smooth coordination and adherence to stringent documentation requirements for material and labor movement. Our team conducted thorough work analyses and space requirement assessments to maintain standards from both companies without compromise. We facilitated a seamless cultural integration by deploying personnel who understood the nuances of each company's work culture and team structure. Despite the challenges, we successfully delivered the facility in two phases within the strict 90-day timeframe. This project showcased our ability to navigate complex requirements while creating a workspace that not only met immediate needs but also supported our client's long-term sustainability goals and operational success.
